How long will it take to receive my DNA Test results?
Mobile DNA Tests have the same turnaround time as in-office testing: 2 to 3 business days.
Are Mobile DNA Testing accurate?
Yes. Both mobile and in-office DNA testing options can provide accurate results.
It is important to note, the efficiency of your DNA sample collection and the shipping of your samples to lab will determine if a DNA profile will be produced for proper analysis.
Are Mobile DNA Tests legal?
Yes, Mobile DNA Testing results are legally admissible in court as long as a chain of custody is established. Our DNA sample collection technicians follow the same guidelines for both in-office and mobile collections.
What do I need at the time of my mobile DNA sample collection appointment?
Requirements for participants:
- Valid identification for individuals 18 years and older
- For New York State residents:
- A court order from a judge, OR
- A prescription referral for a DNA test from a NYS licensed doctor, OR
- A letter from a NYS licensed Attorney
- For children under 18: The custodial parent or legal guardian must be present to give consent
